The past year has seen Cardiff's academy shatter multiple age records. On a Tuesday night this season, defender Noah Anyadike became the youngest player in the club's history at 15 years and 98 days when he came on against Norwich City. That appearance also made him the youngest ever to feature in the Carabao Cup.
It was the fourth significant age record broken by Cardiff's academy in just twelve months. Last season, Axel Donczew became the youngest player to feature in the Vertu Trophy at 16 years old, taking the record from Rob Tankiewicz who had set it earlier that same evening. Midfielder Paul Moreno then became Cardiff's youngest-ever league player, making his debut at Mansfield aged 16 years and 112 days.
